The Center staff is made up of people who have decades of experience working in public health at the local, state and national levels. Gianfranco Pezzino, KHI senior fellow and strategy team leader, serves as Co-Director of the Center along with Patrick Libbey, a former local public health official and former executive director of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). Grace Gorenflo spent 20 years working at NACCHO and serves the Center as Senior Project Consultant. Other staff include Project Coordinator Jason Orr, Knowledge Resource Coordinator Steve Corbett and Communications Coordinator Cathy McNorton.
In addition, national and regional experts provide technical assistance on topics such as financial analysis, legal analysis, operations and management, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, health improvement planning, quality improvement, communications and evaluation.
