April 2020 — Today, as we face an extraordinary and unprecedented effort to slow the transmission of COVID-19, public health experts around the world are again on the front lines of a new war. This effort is impacting our daily work in multiple ways and it pulls us away from other important initiatives so that we can focus on this more pressing issue. March 2020 — The Center for Sharing Public Health Services understands that the COVID-19 pandemic is having myriad impacts on our partners, including state and local health departments and other organizations involved in response efforts. Given the current situation, the Center has made the following modifications to its current and planned activities.
February 2020 — Cross-sector collaborative efforts often are temporary in nature, due to challenges with funding, structure and incentives. What can be done to make collaborations such as these more permanent? In his latest Director’s Message, Gianfranco Pezzino explores this issue and explains why the 10 grantees selected for the new Cross-Sector Innovation Initiative (CSII) will focus on system alignment while working toward their goals to improve population health, well-being and equity for all.
January 2020 — Cross-jurisdictional sharing (CJS) initiatives always involve change. When two or more public health departments begin working together to share responsibilities, it can impact staff, community members, governing bodies and other stakeholders, many of whom may not always welcome the change. December 2019 — The Center for Sharing Public Health Services has long recognized the power of storytelling. One way we disseminate learnings is by sharing stories from our grantees and other public health professionals who have worked on cross-jurisdictional sharing (CJS) initiatives. September 2019 — Director Gianfranco Pezzino announces the Center for Sharing Public Health Services has selected seven teams to participate in the 2019 Small Grants Program.

September 2019 – With support from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) partnered with the Center for Sharing Public Health Services to develop the following suite of tools that support the sharing of services – both clinical and nonclinical – between local health departments (LHDs) and health centers.
